November 5 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
An event every month that begins at 6:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating until February 4, 2021
Please join us for a video and discussion series called, “Becoming Human.” The Basilica of St. Mary and the University of St. Thomas put together a series of what began as 6 meetings last winter and has become 6 sets of videos to educate and foster conversation about dismantling racism. The videos focus on Supreme Court decisions, the war on drugs and Southern strategies, mass incarceration, white saviors and other topics. You can access the videos and activities from this link. It is free; you must enter the code BecomingHuman100. Please watch the videos before the scheduled discussion. Discussing the videos, using circle sharing, can be a powerful way to understand how none of us gets to be human under this system. Ascension parishioners and all others who are interested are invited to gather virtually via Zoom on the first Thursday of the month, beginning Sept. 3, from 6 – 7:30 p.m.
Please register using the form below so we can send you the Zoom link for discussion. Questions? Please call Anne at 612-424-6211.
