We are Grateful for Our Partners
Ascension’s sister parishes generously give their time, talent and financial assistance so our parish and school can fulfill their missions on the North Side of Minneapolis.
The Basilica of St. Mary
The Basilica has been a partner with Ascension for many years. The parishes collaborate on the annual Our Lady of Guadalupe liturgies and the Basilica Choir Camp, which is held each summer at the Basilica. In addition, many Basilica parishioners volunteer at Ascension School. The parish also holds an annual second collection and a golf tournament to benefit the school.

Christ the King
The South Minneapolis parish social justice ministry provides groceries for our food shelf program. Christ the King parishioners bring nonperishable foods to Mass the first weekend of every month. Once a month, the food is brought to Ascension and given to those in need on the North Side. Cash donations are used to provide grocery store gift cards.

Holy Name of Jesus
Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Community has been a long-time supporter of Ascension parish and school. Our schools have a student exchange day annually in which some of our scholars visit Holy Name, and some Holy Name scholars spend a day at Ascension. Youth from Holy Name come spend a week at Ascension every summer during the Christpower Program. They do work around Ascension’s campus and at the homes of people in need.
