While my main focus is the 9:30 Sunday mass in English, I am in close collaboration with our Saturday English and Sunday 11:30 Spanish-speaking musicians. Our bilingual unity masses are a highlight!

I’ve been an employee of Ascension’s Finance Department since 2009. As Finance Director, I manage the Finance Department and the accounting functions of the Parish and the three schools of Ascension Catholic Academy. I have over 33 years of experience in accounting which also includes 23 years of management and supervisory experience plus 15 years of Human Resources and Payroll experience. I also have over 20 years of experience working with multiple entities within the same company or non-profit organization.

My job is to organize and set up funeral lunches, work in the food shelf, keep the candles in church fresh, work in the Peace Garden, cook dinner the third Saturday of every month for the Older and Wiser Supper Club, and give out bread and sweets at the end of Mass every Sunday.

Pastoral Associate and Executive Assistant to the Academy President

After many years in management and administration in health care and community services to elders and those with special needs, I felt called to serve in pastoral ministry in a parish community. In addition to ministering to the homebound, visiting the sick, leading outreach programs, and providing liturgical support for worship services, I also received certifications in Befriender Pastoral Minister Training, Strengths-Finder Coach for Churches and Faith-Based Communities, Enneagram Consultant and Trainer, Spiritual Director, and Ignatian Spiritual Exercises Facilitator. In 2016 I was blessed to bring my talents and skills here to Ascension where I work as a Pastoral Associate, Executive Assistant to the President of the Ascension Catholic Academy, and provide liturgical support and coordination for our weekend liturgies and various liturgical celebrations. As I continue on my spiritual journey, I am deeply grateful that God has called me to serve and minister here at Ascension.

I am responsible for payroll, HR-related paperwork and record keeping, and Essential 3 for employees and volunteers. I am also in charge of key fobs and automatic opens.
